Can anyone recommend to me a good program for reading RSS feeds?
Preferably a light app, but it doesn't really matter.

Ximian Evolution can read RSS feeds, but like you said that's not exactly "light." Do some searches on SourceForge.net or FreshMeat.net

There XML, view it roar, its not hard.
I think theres an applet for gnome panel that views them as well.
You can add them to the Mozilla Sidebar as well.
