This (http://www.techworld.com/news/index.cfm?fuseaction=displaynews&newsid=422) article says that IBM will air commercials about Linux.
-
The ad (http://www-3.ibm.com/e-business/doc/content/lp/prodigy.html)
-
That commercial was better than i thought it would be. Does anyone know what "Res publica non dominetur" means? it was in the commercial.

Res publica non dominetur --
The commonwealth is not owned
It reminded me of Lucas's first film THX1138, I hope this gets the message across, I'm sure it will.

Yes. I wish apple could come up with a commercial like that. I mean some of the stuff they've done is pretty good but the problem is people have a hard time deciding if they are supposed to be stupid or not.
-
That ad isn't nearly as corny as all of the ads I've seen from Apple. I think that ad is actually decent. I'm not a Linux advocate(as everyone already knows) but I have to give props to IBM for thier good work.
-
Wow, i'm putting that in my signature.
-
that commercial was kinda creepy. if I didn't know better I'd think that linux was something scary and mean
-

i can't fucking get these.
i try to download the movs or mpegs but no dice.
ibm don't seem to like putting direct urls in their pages. i don't have time to piece together tha urls and plugger doesn't want to deal with the links.
