I can't get on any IRC servers because I have an Open Proxy...   :confused:

That's a question that nobody in the whole world will be able to answer.

First provide us with some background information: what type of internet connection you've got, what distro are you on ("Linux 9" isn't the right answer  (http://tongue.gif) ), if you're behind a router, etc.

And maybe then we'll be able to tell you stuff  ;)

He's probably using some version of Squid proxy.  Still, that doesn't help us much  :D

What ports it running on, firewall it off.

Or...

It could be your ISP's proxy (my ISP has one) and if your ISP are morons, then they might have made it open. In this case, abuse your ISP on an hourly basis, and trust me it works, its why my dialup connection now drops out every 5 hours, and I get 10kbps on it (which is really good for dialup).
