Title: freeBSD -- Partition
Post by: KernelPanic on 26 June 2002, 23:50
I am going to d/l BSD tonight and i was wondering what is a realistic size to make the install partition. I will probably install most of the stuff it comes with, and i am installing it just to try proper UNIX really, but i might do a bit of C++ programming aswell.

3gigs should be good, i can get FreeBSD with X installed in under 2gigs. if you really want to have a nice and small and sweet bsd use NetBSD. almost everything and X fits on under 500 megs

edit, just remeber to have enough space to put cool things on it
