Title: Mandrake 10.0
Post by: Xeen on 4 April 2004, 23:59
I am going to download and install Mandrake 10.0 this week. I need to know two things about it that I cant seem to find answers to:

1. How many of the four installation disks do I need. 4 disks for an OS is a bit too much in my opinion.

2. What are the system requirements? I plan to install this on an old PC.

I guess you only need 3 or 2. One is for l10n, and since you're English speaking anyway...

The requirements for Mandrake are probably 96 MB of RAM at least. I've noticed 9.2 running slower than Slackware.

You could install it into 2-3 gig.  Plus some swap space...

^ you have 128MB ram, right?  You could've gotten away with 200, but having more won't hurt.  ;)
