Title: Mandrake support for Brother printer
Post by: edisav on 1 March 2003, 19:32
Hi LINUX-maniax:

I have a Brother MFC-5100C (MFC probably stands for mother-fucker something, or perhaps Multi-Function Center) fax/scan/printer installed to the USB port. Does Mandrake support this? If so, how the hell do I install it?

I emailed the bone-heads from Brother and they told me that they don't support Linux at the present time. Those assholes need a wake-up call.

Now, if you don't like my printer, Mandrake, or myself; please keep it civil.

Thanks folx!

Your printer is not listed. Also, people have been having trouble getting your printer to work (google.com) in MDK8.2, so I assume it's still dead. Still, try plugging it in and go to the hardware wizard thingie and see if it'll work under a different driver.
