Sums it up nicely. And I see our friend in Peru makes a showing. It's nice to see a SA country taking the pivotal role, instead of the usual suspects.
 
So the report was funded by M$, and it appears to have been withdrawn pretty damn fast, probably as the debunking began, bad publicity they don't need.
 
Adapt or die, in M$ case I think I can guess which it will be. HEH HEH HEH.

of course the massive gpl corporation's tight squeeze on the governments balls will see to it that those sad prosecuted paupers in redmond are silenced before the fair truth gets out-- they have absolutely no political clout.

errrrrrrrr  at least we know what the kell is up.  sadly, grandma will believe what gates feeds her to be truffles, despite the rancid stench.

well hell with the truffles, tell your friends -- people will think for themselves again someday, or wait... is that "the flash" i see?  well crap, the world is ending because microsoft actually lied!  oh shit, we're fucked now!

Basically, the paper in question merely rehashes the same old stuff, going back to the Halloween Documents. It seems that innovation is truly dead in Redmond  (http://tongue.gif)

Vey interesting i would prefer them to adapt rather than be forced to end.... all that potential power... like a spring, waiting to explode into the sky!

If the Microsoft Comapany is "Colapsed" x86 will quite devastaed. But the money from Microsoft could be used to develop new technology and everything would skyrocked. But if the company colapses and uncle sam takes the cash. It would be a waste.

Excellent article.
It is truly sad that AdTI promised something and then delivered a half-assed attempt at a study.

Adapt or Die!  I like that line.

I wonder if XP User will read this?  And if he does will ha actually read the whole thing?  Alot of his arguments are like the White Paper in substance, so I feel any response from him will be too.


Oh and my Dad recently switched to Linux from WindowsME, and loves it.  He actually finds KDE easier than the  windows GUI.  Not to mention he gets more done now.  He does however need a new video card, seeing as the one he has only works in Xfree86 3.x, and 4.x is better.
