Ok, someone has to explain this to me.

So Microsoft wants to change Internet Explorer, the browser that sadly 90% of the world uses, in such a way that will require billions of web sites to be recoded?

Last time I checked, Microsoft was a so-called software company, an operating system monopoly, an office suite monopoly, and an internet browser monopoly. I don't recall anybody giving them the right to change standards that have been adopted by the world many years ago.

Hi, welcome to our worderful forums!

First of all, Microsoft isn't doing shit to improve IE now, they're just leaving it, while Mozilla, Opera and Konqueror are improving.

And, how to be sure that most company's will download Mozilla as well?

I've been using Mozilla since 0.9 and it has really improved, and 1.4 is much and much better than IE, and 1.5 is due the beginning of next month.
I see that more and more people download Thunderbird, Firebird and Mozilla for their stability, pop-up blocking, junk-filter and stuff. I only hope that the majority of the people will download Mozilla because it's better than IE.

Actually, I'm with MS on this one.  A patent on browswer plugins?  Puh-leez.

I can't believe MS failed to mount an effective defense in this case.
