I just saw this thing on Mac Rumors (http://www.macrumors.com) saying they had proof Apple was going to release new wireless keyboards and mice. This is because if you go into the Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse control panel (which is no longer hidden in the latest builds of Panther) and try to set it up for use, the error messages mention the new peripherals (such as Apple Wireless Mouse). Plus the standard keyboard and mouse from Apple are now designated as "Wired". You can see screenshots of the error messages here (http://www.chaosmint.com/apple-bluetooth-mouse-keyboard/).

Pretty cool stuff, guys. I wonder if Apple can come up with an even easier power-on method than flipping a switch. ;)
I also hope Apple's figured out a cool way to keep me from having to deal with batteries or something. Their hardware is always so far above plebian things like that.

According to ThinkSecret (http://www.thinksecret.com/news/wirelessinput.html), the keyboard will use four AA batteries while the mouse will use two. And a warning will pop up when it's running low.

I would rather just set my mouse in a dock like a iPod when I'm not using it

the way Logitech is doing with their mice
