Title: FileVault Problems
Post by: M51DPS on 4 November 2003, 06:58
Things are getting worse. This (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=77&e=1&u=/mc/20031103/tc_mc/filevaultproblemscontinueapplesoswoes) article says that if FileVault asks to reclaim lost disk space, and you agree, then your system could become unstable. After reading about Jaguar security problems, firewire problems, and PowerBook screen problems, I really hope Apple fixes things soon.

on my 600MHz 8MB Rage 128 iBook, I have had no problems what so ever with File Vault.  And yes, I have let it reclaim disc space.... several times.  And I aint gonna stop either.

Maybe it's only on certain models or something like that.
