In regard to removing IE from the Mac:
"Apple has access to functionality in the (operating system) that
Microsoft doesn't," Jessica Sommers, product manager for the software
company's Macintosh Business Unit, said at the time.
"They can do things because they're developing on their own (operating
system) that we as a third-party programmer can't do," Sommers said.

Hmmm, yes I don't get you. M$ has access to their OS that third parties are not privy to as well, just Apple the World+Dog also has.
I remove IE as a matter of course.

Oh your saying it's ironic.
What's ironic is people thinking this would be any different ;)

The real reason that MS dropped IE from MAC is that their trying (for some unknown reason) to use IE as selling point for bindoze
Not only is IE no longer available for MAC no new versions are available for anyone unless you buy a new version of Bindoze (windows)

lol how fucking hilarious. if they are using ie to sell windows. " our os sucks so bad we cant charge for it, but here is a fucked browser on sale........."
fucking gold.

What about MSN for Mac? Isn't it's engine based on IE?
-
Actually this isn't true, the fact is that MS is getting rid of IE as we know it for windows as well, since it is becoming a nolonger necessary redundancy to Explorer's ability to browse websites.
