does it work on non X MacOS setups?
if not, what do i use on a mac running MacOS9.1?
-
I don't know :D .
This is the first time I have seen, or even been interested, in such a program.
Try the home page of the folks who make it, maybe they have a Classic OS version, or maybe this version is Carbon, meaning it runs on both.
I'll check around and see if I can locate a better program for you.

I use fire.app personally, but proteus is good ware too.

I use fire, i found it a little easier then proteus.
Plus i just think it looks better, and with proteus it kept kicking me off msn(bah fucking m$) but it worked fine with yahoo and icq...

I don't think it looks like it works in classic. But if you find a version of an IM app like that which does, lemme know.
