Title: MS to buy AOL???
Post by: Xeen on 19 March 2004, 20:05
According to the article below, either Microsoft wants to try to buy AOL from Time Warner, or Time Warner just wants to find someone to sell it to (who could blame them).

Article (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=575&ncid=738&e=6&u=/nm/20040319/wr_nm/tech_aol_microsoft_dc)

This would be cool if it happened. After all, AOL pretty much is just Internet Exploder. And, MS and AOL have a lot in common = crappy software, crappy service, crappy customer support, rip off prices. Two pieces of shit becoming one would make them an easier target, and definately a bigger monopoly.

"We do talk to them (Microsoft) about digital rights management ... but the other stuff is just not true," said Time Warner spokeswoman Tricia Primrose, referring to a New York Post report about talks on a possible merger between Microsoft and AOL./
