Opera sux ass.
Why use it when there is Chimera?
And safari is gearing up to top chimera once it goes final.

opera would be fine if they didn't *TRY* to make it so different.
Also, charging for it is rather silly, when everybody else gives their browser away for free.
There's also something about a project that stays in "beta" and "previews" for so long with no real progress that kinda screams "SUCK"

Chimera dosn't suck

opera doesn't suck. however they really are dicing with dinosaurs by keeping their closed source browser non-free. who are they kidding? nobody pays for browser software these days.
also, i think it's a bit of a cheek making a statement blaming somebody else for your own failure to keep developing software.
that said, the company might suck but the browser doesn't.
Also, re: beta versions. my favourite browser tends to be in beta most of the time and it is also the most stable browser i have yet to come across. yes it's good old mozilla and its derivatives (but mozilla proper is the most stable).

Opera doesn't suck.
It just doesn't rock like Chimera and Safari. (http://smile.gif)

I dunno.
Chimera is only 0.6 and it has only crashed out maybe 2 times since I have started using it. I like it more than Moz simply because Chimera is lightweight, simple, and fast as flaming hog balls.
The only browser that I have seen beat it for speed is Safari which I have been using as my main browser for a while.
Even though Safari lacks many of Chimera's fetures, I keep being drawn back to it simply for it's lightning speed when it comes to rendering HTML and loading pages. I also like the way it handles downloads and bookmarks.
It is an excellent browser.

i think that the new opera is beautiful, the skin is nice and hte gui is more-than tolerable.
I dont like the fact that you have to pay to obtain a legal version, one of the reasons gnu/ is cool.

All I can say is that I'm fed up with all those browsers out there. I don't use Opera in OS X, eventhough I use it in Linux. However I think that it's a very nice browser BUT if you already use Chimera and Safari in OS X you don't need anything else. (http://smile.gif)
