Ok people, I know it's been long since I last posted but I've been really busy with the promote-opensource.org page.
The news here is that one of the members on my site, Glanz, who apart from being a mathematician is also a Linux developer, has posted two very interesting pieces of news over at the site. I'm not going to tell you what it's about, since it's kind of a nice surprise for all of you OS X users that are also into Linux. Enjoy:

Story No2 (http://promote-opensource.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=77)

wow. kde for mac looks really good. and the fact that it can be used without x11 is cool.
quote:
Qt/Mac is the Mac port of Qt - a single-source, multiplatform C++ GUI toolkit that allows applications to run natively on Windows, Linux/Unix, and Mac OS X, all from the same codebase.
wow. very cool.

Even better: Gentoo, Fink and DarwinPorts will unite for a new, expanded package managemenent tool on OS X.
