Thishas been tried before I belive... Nothing has ever happened. Usually those posts gt throwin in the bin or locked.

But I agree... I dont really like the UBB here.

These online petitions really work. There was one against that war in Iraq, and you don't see that still going on do you?

The UBB here is a bit old and I myself prefer the phpBB but creating a petition won't get you anywhere.   (http://smile.gif)  

It's all up to the Webmaster actually.   ;)

I have no problem with UBB. If a new format is chosen, please allow the modifiable nickname option. It's a great idea.

Oh and please allow silly ass script kiddies to use those characters that allows them to fake member names, "Calum:Crusader for BS" was hilarious(to name one example).  :D

i agree.

the 'UBB sucks' movement sucks.

that said i am morally opposed to UBB compared with phpBB and ikonboard (which are both superior in my opinion, well maybe not ikonboard depending on what your expectations are) for the simple reason that UBB is closed source and it costs money.
now THAT sucks.

Here is what I have to say:

UBB is SHIT.
It is a paid product which is inferior to other free products such as phpbb
It doesn't even encrypt passwords using MD5. SO THAT MEANS THE ADMINS CAN SEE THE PASSWORD YOU USE

I'm not going to insult the people who run this site but WHAT GOT STUCK UP YOUR ARSEHOLE WHEN YOU PAID MONEY FOR THIS SHIT

it would be nice to move to something like phpbb, but that just seems like a huge pain in the ass. i think for what it does, it works fine. there are some features i would like to see, like stickies & board-wide announcements that reflect on every forum, but it isnt that big of a deal.

Nah, Invasion just isn't worth to install instead of UBB. Personally, I think the rating thingy of UBB is quite cool.

I think you don't know what you're talking about. It's commonly known fact that on high volume forums, PhpBB is much slower than vBulletin or Invision Board.
