Hello to everyone.
I am a retired IT body, and if you look at my profile you will see that my preferred O/S is Multics. A little hoary, and I don't know if anyone is running it anymore due to the cost of hardware.
This will be my only post for a while. I am going to lurk before leaping.
If you want a look at my home site it is:
The key to a nonny moose. (http://www3.sympatico.ca/john.winterton)

And the Nonny_Noose is warmly welcomed to Microsuck by Laukev7. (http://smile.gif)

Haha, wow. Multics? That's like, before Unix! :eek:
-
Yeah!
Multics = Multiplexed Computer Service
UNIX = UNIplexed X = CS the guys at Bell Labs were always making acronyms.
Those of us who worked in Multics often pronounced UNIX as "Eunuchs". As far as I know, no UNIX as ever gotten at B1 (orange book) security rating.

Only a UNIX-lover would say that. We've heard all that before.
