Norwegian Nominates Bush Blair for Nobel Peace Prize

Norwegian lawmaker Jan Simonsen of the right-wing Party of Progress has nominated President George Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair for the 2004 Nobel Peace Prize.  Even though the five-member Norwegian awards committee keeps the names of candidates secret for 50 years, those making the nominations often announce their candidate.

Edit: Great_Satan, I see as an improvement that you start new topics to express your opinions instead of spamming in unrelated threads, but please remain on topic when you do so. These links had nothing to do with Bush and Blair being nominated for a Nobel prize. Well you have to admit...they DID free Iraq from Saddam Hussein...regardless of everything else.

Yes, but their solution was not a peaceful one.  Starting an unprovoked war by issuing ultimatums that cannot be reasonably expected to be met ( "Saddam, get out of Iraq or we will invade") can not be the basis for a Nobel peace prize.  

Anyway, it's just a nomination.  I seriously doubt that it will go through.

I don't think it will either.  I hope there will be peace there sometime, be it won't be happening in '04.  :(
