Title: In an attempt to cut down the bush hatred...
Post by: Canadian Lover on 7 July 2004, 07:04
I've made an anti bush forum. The attempt is hopfully, you'll rant there and not here. This is a computer forum, not a political forum.

here's the link (http://rrs.yi.org/yabbse/index.php?y=antibush).

You're hosted on RRS' website? Is that the same RRS who used to post here as Gooseberry Clock?

What really sucks about two-party systems is that you don't even have a choice between a minority and a majority government. In canada, we had four candidates the past election, so we basically had eight choices of government. Better yet, a minority government can easily be forced to resign if everyone refuses to accept their budget programme.

Now, I don't know how things work in the U.S., but if it works like in Canada, then if you only had one more serious candidate, you would have six choices of government as opposed to two majoritary governments whose parties hold very similar politics (and no, I'm not talking about issues like abortion and gay marriage!)

That's sarcasm, right?
The party in that province (namely Quebec) are separatist. The majority does not want to seperate.

RRS = evil! I'm glad he's gone. I don't think I could hate someone as much as RRS.

i do, he sucks ass.

probably literally.

only people who joined these forums after he left  could possibly not have a beef with him.

and what's it matter who gets into the office of US president anyway? it'll make no difference, the president has little power anyway, except as commander in cheif of the US army, that's one of the reasons the US keeps going to war, because it gives their president some sort of responsibility to keep him out of thought's way.

i say the best thing that could happen to the Us is a complete economo-political collapse which would be replaced by something totally new and untried. because stagnancy sucks. looking at the USA as an empire and comparing it to other empires in hostory does not fill me with confidence in the US as is to be honest.

You'd better be careful what you wish for. You may get it sooner than you expect:

If the US economy does collapse, it would mean economic consequences for the rest of the world. It may not be too bad if other countries slowly reduce their dependence on the US. It looks like people are already turning to the Euro...

Not only that, but if you go on a vacation trip to India, they will be more likely to accept Euros than dollars.
