Canada will celebrate it's 136th year since Confederation.

Before 1982 Canada Day had been known as Dominion Day, First of July, Confederation Day, and July the First.

Canada Day celebrates the events that occurred on July 1, 1867, when the British North America Act created the Canadian federal government. The BNA Act proclaimed "one Dominion under the name of Canada," hence the original title of the holiday, "Dominion Day." Dominion Day was officially renamed "Canada Day" by an Act of Parliament on October 27, 1982. This change reflected the policy of successive governments to down play Canada's colonial origins.

Lol! I live over a 1000KM from the US border, and in the summer time(right now), it is hardly cold! It's often too warm for me actually. Like between 20 and 30+ degrees celcius this summer. Last winter was rather mild, although I can't remember how mild. Certainly not constant -20 to -40 C weather. Due to Earth's temperature fluctuations, it's not so cold these days in Canada! Although maybe it's very warm in America compared to Canada...

where im at its about 110f right now. that isnt bad at all. it used to go upto 123f and thats with 2-3 months of no rain.

110F=43C! Hahaha oh man, that weather would fuck me up so bad. 30C(86F) would is quite harsh for me. Maybe Canada is not cold, just not nearly as warm as the US.
