I was thinking of selling five dollars on ebay for the low price of ten dollars and see if anyone was stupid enough to fall for it, but they probably have a rule against that.

as pointed out by philip k. dick in his novel 'the man in the high castle', the people are not bidding for the hair so much as the certificate. the hair of a former president is worthless without a certificate of authenticity. weird, huh? are they saying the hair could be forged but the certificate couldn't be?
