re: nirvana again, bleach is a better lp though. And that live bootleg from Reading Festival 1991 by Nirvana is the best they have ever come out with! (It's called "Live In Europe" if you want to look for it, and i've only ever seen it on vinyl, but maybe you'll get lucky and find a CD or a tape if such be your bent).
Just had to air my nirvana preferences here!

well i said i liked the reading lp and bleach better because i do. Still, nevermind is more diverse than either of those lps and i think there are times when i would prefer nevermind depending on my mood.
You are right though, it took me a long time to like nirvana. i never actually paid much attention to them until a couple of years after kurt died.

re: that pink floyd video. Fuck it's fantastic! oh yes! i have seen it many times, not sure if my dad still has it, but once i get the kit together to Div some VHS videos, that's at the top of the list, along with Metropolis (except it'll already have been done...)

Since we're talking about a bunch of music and not just nirvana, you guys should try and check out Map and InAura, although they are really small time London outfits so you might not ba able to...

Calum, since you live in Edinburgh, how about those "neighbours", Nazareth? I know they are a bit old by now but none of the bands from Scotland can match Nazareth. Marillion is close but no cigar.
