Title: Good for a laptop?
Post by: nunwithuzi on 17 September 2002, 10:51
What are your favored Linux distributions for use on a newer laptop?  I have concerns about PCMCIA and such, but if Mandrake will work, well there I go.  I've got plenty of hard drive space and it's 800 mhz.

thanks!

I have had both Red hat and Mandrake on a laptop. Both went in fairly easy. However I never had sound working, and both had minor disply issues that I had to jerry rig.
