When we move threads there should we delete the original or just close it?

It's up to you; closing it is probably sufficient, since nobody will be able to post to it anymore, and it'll naturally sink down, and ultimately off the "current topics" list in that forum.  But you can delete it also.  Your call.

if it had have been up a few days ago i could've put those 40 threads by the Rice Army in there  :(
