I could probably use the first one for something. The second one looked good, but I don't get it.

The right window on the second picture is open (http://smile.gif)

I like em!

what would be really good is if the picture could determine what design, fonts and colours the person was actually using and imitate it so it looks like a real dialogue box on their machine. it would be good if it even could detect those mac style dialogue boxes on a mac and so on! or maybe it should default to lame-o dark blue/Verdana if it sees you're already using a non-windows system.
now there's a concept in computer graphics nobody's got into yet, have they?

thanks for the comments guys, looks like ill be doing a lot more GIMPing now!

I like them! The second one is pretty clever too. C'mon, do some more GIMPing! ;)

I improved your dialog box:

Thanks LinuxUser that looks way better. What font is it (for reference when i make more)
-
the title bar is times new roman and the other font is arial (make sure to turn OFF antialiasing in GIMP)
-
The font is wrong... Win uses MS Sans Serif if memory serves me well (you can see this in the appearance section of the display settings).
And dialog boxes have only a "x" button (no maximize or minimize, and no icon IIRC (except a big one to the left).
Perfection - ain't it a bitch?
Second one is funny.
