They did bring some amendments, though. Fortunately, it might not be as crazy as in the United States.

The biggest amendment covered "real inventions" and not business, models and arbitrary things the y seem to patent and subsequently fight over in the US.

so... this is what I understand... you can patent your own way of doing something, say...
You devise a system that can get 5% more performance from a card's 3d processor. you can patent your code, but not the idea of it?
someone else could come and create their own way of doing a similar task, but you can't bust them, because they have their own code and did it on their own?
