Because my brother said that it would be cool to post something if I had 1000 posts here... I just did it. So ehm... hooray, yay, w00t I have 1000 posts now.
Oh well, most of my posts are shit anyway, so it really should be "yay I have 100 posts now".
And because of it, I'll start to rebuild my website again...
-
I'm closing in on 100, almost-but-not-quite-hooray!
-
Cut your 1000 in half and you get my number.
-
*has enough posts to know that showing off your own post count in these threads is so passe*
-
MUAHAHAHA YOUR NUMBER OF POSTS PALE IN COMARISON TO MINE!!!!

Just use the X11 method. He had like 3000 posts and he barely contributed anything. Think of the stupidest thing possible to say in a discussion and post it, and occasionally use a post to say something off the wall like "HHHHHMMMMMMMM.........". I use it from time to time, it works great.
-
HHHHHMMMMMMMM.........
-
Just like I said. It really should be 100, because most of the posts aren't good.
-
ph33r my uber 1337 post count
EDIT:I had more then I thought (http://tongue.gif)

1000! That's quite a lot for someone who happily uses Windows. I don't know why I bother :D

NOOO! SATAN SATAN!
HISSSSSSSSS!
You use windows as your /main/ OS???
and you've bitched about M$ atleast 1000 times!
-
Actually... I may have some bitching about some aspects of MS, but I spend much time correcting some member's more erroneous comments. XP has worked wonderfully for me really... so much that I don't feel any urge to even give Longhorn a try when it comes out.. My partition with Mandrake just sits there, gathering dust. I'll undoubtedly erase it sometime soon and increase XP's partition. I can really describe my enjoyment of Linux in 1 prhase. "Nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there."

SuSE Blows away other distros, so don't pooh pooh the food before your finished the meal.

if fettid doesn't boot into linux, how can he or she expect it to do anything for her/him?
i don't boot into my windows partition so it's shit, but the difference is that on the rare ocassions i do boot into it, it's shit. very unstable, insecure etc. it only exists in case i need to use some chat program my university gave me.

We get to use jabber. (http://smile.gif) Are your admins likely to bow to your requests or are they inflexible types? (http://smile.gif)
-
very inflexible.
they say we can use what we like, but they only support windows. they provide windows software and urls for the mac versions if they exist. the program in question is first class client which is a closed source conferencing quite, it allows access to uni webspace (for which they will not allow normal ftp access), chat (which sucks, is hard to use and is buggy, unlike gaim), email (more confusing than evolution, sylpheed, or any other email client) and bulletin board (again, about as intuitive as the bulletin boards of five years ago, not up to 'modern' standards).
Most of the functions can be done using mozilla (luckily) as the helpdesk guys informed me (they are friendly towards linux/open source but that's totally not the same as them actually supporting it!) but the chat and the uploading to webspace MUST be done in windows, these functions do not work even when i use the program under wine (which i no longer have installed anyway) and i think i need the uploading thing for the end of course assesment.
i heard there was a really old red hat rpm of the program and even got hold of what i thought was it, but it wouldn't run (even when i finally got it to install) on any linux i now have.

I don't expect it to do anything for me. I tried it. I didn't care for it.
-
It was kind of wierd reading the beginning of the thread again, how was I excited about 100? Now I have more that 200 . . .
-
i have almost 350, and look at how long i've been here
i just don't have the time to spend looking at and responding to all subjects

if he's happy with windows and is informed of the facts, which he appears to be, then i wouldn't try to change his mind. he's one of the few that it does work good for. It would just be a pointless ammount (and little ammount) of work to switch operating systems when the one he has fits him nicely. i dont like windows by any means, but he does... so be it.
edit:
hmm, 911th post. there's a sign huh? i'm going on this trip finally, and i get there on the 11th. these numbers just aren't adding up for me, maybe i'm too superstitious (or however u spell that).

Because you use the worst OS(Windows ME) from the worst generation of Windows OSes(Win9x). I wonder why it is unstable....you do the math. You should at least replace ME with Windows 2000 Professional. It is soo much more reliable/stable.
FYI - 22 more posts and I'm at 1000......no after this post make that 21 more posts.

Yep. Zombie was just getting too old for me. I've been using that name on every forum, chatroom, newgroup, etc. I've visted for 6+ years. I originally made the name because I liked White Zombie back in the day. Nowadays I don't even listen to very much metal(let alone White Zombie). I listen to almost everything nowadays including rock, alternative, rap, some R&B, some country and a little metal. I'm more into fast "Super Sport" cars that sound great(like the Dodge Viper) than a stupid metal band, I think the name Viper looks better than the name Zombie and I like the logo I can associate with my new name.

is this where we post just to see if we can up our post #???
-
or is this just a place to post posts?
-
I mean, I, being new and all, wouldn't want to violate any rules or anything. :D
-
Mods can bin threads but I sometimes I think there is cause for making them able to bin just certain posts from threads.
Guess that belongs in the ideas forum, but a few posts on this thread got me thinking about it.
