Simple.......it's another way for microsoft to attack the open source community which they seem to have such huge issues with (the idea of anything being FREE is obviously incomprehensible to those filthy gluttons at M$).

Technicly, Microsofts use of OpenGL, in the licence it is under Microsoft would have too make Windows Open Source or DirectX Open Source. Otherwise they are breaching the licence.
