Welcome to the boards!
Thankfully, I've never bought a computer with Windows on it. I've built every computer I own.
Thanks for the link though.

Thanks Adam! I posted a link to your site on here a couple of days ago. Great job on the site. I wish it wasn't necessary though. I would prefer that I could purchase a naked Desktop/Laptop from a major manufacturer. Have you thought about posting information on your site regarding Microsoft/OEM deals and why OEMs can not sell naked machines? That is the root of the problem if you ask me.

Just curious about that getnewos site, those iso's are nothing more then renamed Linux distros right? Question is, what distro?

The first one is Mandrake, oh hell look at the code and find out yourself. I just gave Mandrake Dl's with WIndows names, i share various misinformation via KaZaA and LimeWire.

what would be good is if thoe were actually hosted somewhere with the filenames renamed. they could be iso files in a zip file, with instructions for how to burn the iso. By the time the $cr1pt k1dd33 w4r3zz haxx0r found out that there was anything amiss, they would have booted from the CD and be into the linux installation procedure! and that can only be a good thing.

thats a good idea calum. I would put them on my server but my bandwith aint good enough. I could put on one named windowsxp and limit the bandwith to something like 8 kb/s, surely someone who really wants a free copy of windows xp would not mind waiting.
