Title: I need help getting Slackware

when I go to www.slackware.com (http://www.slackware.com) and try to get the files from the ftp, I have no idea how to get them, how to install them after I get them, or what files I need to get.

I have the same problem with www.rethat.com (http://www.rethat.com) and getting RedHat Linux. If someone can point me to where I can get the files and how and what files I need, that would be a great help.

I hope I understand your question right.  Are you trying to figure out what you need to download to install Slackware or RedHat?  If so, and if you have a high speed network connection and CD burner the easiest way to do this is to go to http://www.linuxiso.org (http://www.linuxiso.org) and download the full CD images.  Read the help pages there and you should be on your way.
