Title: How To Ask Questions The Smart Way..
Post by: Pantso on 15 May 2003, 03:40
We all know that people may ask a question when in a forum and never get a reply. As a result, they get frustrated and leave the respective forum disappointed. We've seen that happening here at the MES forums and we've certainly seen it in other tech support forums as well.

If you happened to be one of those people, perhaps you could find this page to be of some use. (http://catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html)   (http://smile.gif)

perhaps those people should READ THE GODSDAMN MICROSOFT ERADICATION SOCIETY FAQ (http://belg88.com/faqman/) then. there's a reason people put their time and effort into that site.

Well, it's not only about the MES members but for others as well. Just a piece of information that's all, which can be applied everywhere.   (http://smile.gif)

As for the MES members, I would also suggest that they read the MES FAQ first.   (http://smile.gif)

eg:how do we use the email?
answer i really wanted to give:"http://students.anu.edu.au/StudentITGuide/7pcsetup.asp?mi=37"

^ this would be the help... student email help section of my unis student page.  the student page is the homepage of our browsers.

Q:
I'm having problems with my Windows machine. Can you help?
A:
Yes. Throw out that Microsoft trash and install an open-source operating system like Linux or BSD.

We should link to that exact section.  (http://smile.gif)
