William Shatner has an iMac. Leonard Nimoy has a Blue G3. Avril Lavigne has a TiBook. Bill Clinton has a Wallstreet G3 Powerbook. Eddie Van Halen has a room full of Power Mac 9600s. Arnold Schwarzenegger has a Sony Vaio 'book running Mandrake Linux (no joke).
The Jimmy James is cool like them. Are you?
-
You think that Bill Clinton is cool? He was only the worst president that the USA has ever had. He totally fucked up the economy and society. Him owning a powerbook just gives me another reason why I wouldn't want a powerbook.

I am just wondering where you found this info. I did a google search and could find nothing like that anywhere.

Bill Clinton was too a good president. He mostly kept the peace for eight years and the economy improved. Sure, hes a slimebag, but by most definitions he was a very good president.
Dont forget that Tony Hawk also has a Mac!

Yes, the one you have now who literally can't string a sentence together and is owned by the oil companies is a massive improvement.

it's stuff I've pieced together. William Shatner was at a Trek con and someone in the audience asked him what kind of computer he used. He said he was a long time Mac user and had an iMac. Nimoy has also talked about his G3. Avril Lavigne has been spotted with the G4 'book on TV, in photos, and other places.
Arnold, I don't remember where I learned that, but it was a Linux mag.
As for Bush, I'm embarassed I voted for him. He sucks! I shoulda voted for Ralph Nader. He might be slightly anti-tech, but he's also anti-corporate! PISS IN YOUR EYE BILLY GATES.
And yes, I think Clinton is cool, aside from the sleaze.
-
You voted for Bush? I thought you were left-wing?

Are you sure you didn't mean Bush? The economy was great during Clinton you moron.
Him owning a PowerBook is just another reason I'm a proud PB owner.

two years ago, I was arrogant and "independent" and voted for him 'cos I... for some reason... thought he was the better candidate.
I still used Windows then, too.
Only recently have I move toward the left. I went straight past being a "democrat" because like the republicans, they are a joke. I supported the progressives, but now I believe in socialism. My venture toward the left has made a few enemies, but who cares. It's what I believe!

Not voting for him wouldnt have made a difference because he didnt get majority anyway. i also heard that some dead people that were still registered also voted for him.
We should all just join the Bob Party

The entire fact that the man who can play an antisocial, death-dealing killer robot from the future uses the same operating system as me mildly scares me.

so you're a communist? Ralph Nader is a HUGE socialist, the US would turn into a country like Sweden or France where socialism is just insane, you complain about taxes now at like 40% or so but what if your taxes were 60%-70% or higher like they are in France and Sweden? would you complain then?
what if Nader made the US like Canada where prices for things are just attrocious compared to stuff in the US. for example, here in canada i get some channels from Spokane (i think that's in Washington) and i see commercials saying packs of eggs are 30 cents which is like 55 cents here. in Canada, you expect to pay MORE than $1.50 for the same pack of eggs! in Washington you can buy a pack of cigarettes for like 2 or 3 dollars, in Canada they cost over 8 dollars!! alcohol here is 80% tax! when you pay $20 in canada for a bottle of whine, more than 16 of those 20 dollars are pure tax and what does our government have to show for it? we don't have that big of a national surplus even though the taxes are just exorbant compared those in the US. places like France and Sweden have even higher taxes, guess what France's economy is like? it sucks ass.
if you want socialism, join all your poor friends in Russia. if you want wealth, you stick with capitalism. best example i can possible give is West Germany and East Germany. during the cold war West Germany was fine, they made products that people would buy in other countries but East Germany was poorer than crap and people tried to escape to the west; they tried to escape socialism.

Clinton is hardley the reason that the economy was good. The economy is the reason the economy was good. It goes up and down. It's a cycle and presidents have nothing to do with it except sleep with interns.
I have great respect for Bush because he is trying to do the right thing while taking heat from: The terrorists, the American people (well, the idiots at least), the media, etc. He is under more stress than anyone of you could even imagine and you sit back and talk about him like that? What are you, 5 years old? Learn what's going on before you decide to bash somebody!
Oh and one more thing...THE REPUBLICANS HAVE CONGRESS!!!!! HA!!!
-
Oh! and Avril Lavigne would definately make a could play toy! :D
-
ARGH! That's "good" not "could"
Long day... :(
-
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah she would.

Ok, my one and only post on the subject.
Clinton is a draft dodging, dope smoking, adultrous, womanizing, professional politician who never should have been elected in the first place. The economy started taking a big crap 6 months before he left office. He turned our military into a bunch of panzies and scaled it back to a dangerous level. He sat on his ass (what some of you consider being peaceful) letting people like Bin Laden roam free to blow all sorts of shit up. If Clinton had any balls, it's just possible that WTC would still be standing and we wouldn't be in the fucking mess we are in now.
Bush is an excellent president, just as his father was. He has a huge task in getting the US back into shape after 8 years of play time.
Ok, flame away, my last note on the subject.
-
I think Bush is not President Material...BUT...it seems like he is the right President at the right time.
His simplistic point of views are beneficial in a strange way.
Example with Iraq. Sadam thought that Bush would stand still because the UN was against war.
But Bush just played it crazy as in : I dont care how I say it, what they say or who comes with me, or how much money am gonna spend, am coming after you because am fucking off the wall crazy.
That made Sadam (from what it seems) to think twice).
And the missions in Afghanistan were handled in a very clever and fast way.

WTF?! What do you mean Sweeden and France? Socialist? What's the difference between between socialist and communist? 70% taxes?!
Choco my bullshit detector is ringing like crazy. Perhaps you can elaborate, but I'd like a second and third opinion too.
-
which is better? paying high taxes, or selling the Constitution to the RIAA?
-
let me rephrase what you said
which is better, having some bullshit rules for computers or paying so much tax that you can't even afford a computer.
-
I think every US president has there thumbs up there asses.
The US Gov;t was behind the Anthrax attacks.
