Title: trusted computing is going to happend

well people like this part says
"Longhorn's trusted computing mode will have to buy new hardware with a built-in security chip to reinforce the operating system's security."

is possibly trusted computing is going to happend and now i fear it... i am not buying any new hardware i am not buying any motherboard with any stupid security chip... i wish had no common sense so i could go the library and pick up a book about creating bombs because i would have used on microsoft... i hate them and nothing going to change that

Oh, and you don't need to go to a library to get good bomb making files. Download the Big Book of Mischief, I've heard it's pretty accurate. A google search will be your friend.

if you run Longhorn on non TCPA hardware, then the vault isn't active. if you run a non TCPA OS on TCPA hardware, the vault isn't active.

But what about the fact that most likely a lot of software won't work if the TCPA isn't enabled.

Jimmy the real question is will a non-TCPA OS run on TCPA hardware?
