Personal computer mag .. gave away Mandrake 9 on dvd with there mag .(along with a bundle of free linux software).. i got my copy of it..
great for people with 56k (or less)  ;)
there going off the shelves fast...

Yes. I see Linux increasing in Dutch magazine too  (http://smile.gif)

Things are looking worser and worser by the year for Windows  :D

General PC magazines have been doing this for a long time. PC Plus in particular.

I really don't understand how Linux "won." After all, I never saw a PC mag giving away a free Windows CD.

That's because we live in the U(Corporate possibly?)SA. Ms wouldn't allow anything like that to happen here. Although it would be really cool if it did.

Microsoft wont allow their prodeucts to be given out free. There is however, some magazines that give out free programs exclusively for windows.
