My god. Are music bands going to copyright music genres as well? Ridiculous.

I know a lot of bands that can sue over this. Status Quo, for one. They have been using the same three-chord sets for 37 years now!

Get a life, Metallica...

Oh damn, that's sad. I always assumed that after the Napster thing Metallica felt guilty, but wouldn't publicly apologize. This just confirms that they probably felt they didn't make a mistake, and they are greedy beyond belief. Or maybe it's just Lars wanting lots of cash. All in all though, this is worse than Naspter, Napster made a bit of sense, but  this...

Fuck, Metallica is an excellent band, and they got to act like assholes.  :(

Actually, I tend to associate that with the alphabet. (Sorry, had to say it.)

Seriously, though. Can they really do this? No way. That's like saying... Geeze, I can't even come up with an analogy!

Don't make fun of Metallica. Of course they sold out. Any band that tells you that they will never sell out is full of shit because this is capitalism. You swim or you sink. I'm behind them on this. I'm sick of problems that are annoying and hurt you but also seem to other people to not be important. For once someone takes action. Good for Metallica. Don't laugh at them because, although it may seem petty of them from our point of view, our point of view is, unfortunately not theirs, and they are the ones who are taking action, not us.

I SuSELinux am hereby giving fair warning to all those who post in the MES forum.  The use of the words "and" and "then" are a trademark of my posting style.  I have been using these two words from the first reply I posted here and have continued since.  People now recognize these two words as being associated with SuSELinux.  Any one using these two words will give me 50% of the credit for the relevance, intelligence, and wittiness of the infringing post.

Keep in mind that I am not trademarking the words "and" and "then", that would be fucking stupid.  I am simply trademarking the style of post derived from using the two words together "and then".

These infringments will not be tollerated.  I will have the Mod edit your post to read "50% of this post concieved by SuSELinux".

                 Sincerly SuSELinux

Shopen... etc

I never liked Metallicas depressing music, and I nearly hate them... not only for Napster! They are idiots.
