Its kinda frustrating reading and hearing about MS slithering their way out the concessions that they agreed to, and getting away with it.

Sounds reminiscent of Microsoft powering www.wehavethewayout.com (http://www.wehavethewayout.com) (site to demote Unix) with FreeBSD...

That must be one of the least visited sites on the web!   :D

No seriously perhaps M$ involvement with SCO? we all know whats going on there, proving it and if it's a contender in a court of law is another matter. We all know the stupid little tricks M$ play. On a positive note though I don't think it will actually do them (M$) much good.

For all their manoeuvring, scheming, ploting and legal wrangling I dont think it's actually going to do them any good. The  market has already seen the benefits of Open Source both in fiscal and pure tech terms and M$ doesn't seem to want to change it's ways.

The science (Art) of computing is young and M$ will just be a blip in the grand scheme of things.

I notice at the side of that site their is a rope hanging from a window. It could be someone trying to escape from microsoft HQ.

That explains a lot. Bugs come in through open windows.   :D

hahahaha,  why would anyone who owns a UNIX server want to switch it to stupid Windows?  What kind of audiance is Microsoft going for in that ad?      I'm so boggeled as to who would be stupid enough to make that kind of decision.  Why doesn't Toyota go after Jaguar owners trying to get them to switch to a Camry???

I hate Microsoft more and more every day.  They are in this thing for the money.  They're not looking to make a system that actually works well.  They have messed up priorities.  God Bless those horrible people!

The truth is that more entreprises are switching to UNIX each day, and an increasing number of consumers are opting for the Mac (which is now based on UNIX).  I can't believe how Microsoft can have the nerve to brand UNIX as proprietary, when Microsoft Windoze is much more so, and many UNIX OSes like FreeBSD are open source.
