The Czech Republic rules! Sure, it has a very high crime rate, and you can't trust anyone there, but the prices are fucking low. The money you spend in the Netherlands on food for a few days is in Czech for a few weeks

nobody will believe me when I say CNN is dumb

I've heard that Fox News is dumber.

That map is so true!!!
I don't understand Laukev's pic though (which is probably why it's funny)
And yes, Fox News is dumber than CNN.

Long live the evil communists.

Yes, I think you've just illustrated his point.

Mister Satan,
You don't seem to accept any other way of thinking.
Like I said before, this is my home page: http://www.ptb.be/ (http://www.ptb.be/)
Please tell me what's so wrong about it...

Satan? What Satan? Where?
Edit: Yes, I'm the one who deleted his posts. He just keeps trolling around, posting the same links over and over again, without adding anything to the discussion.

No problem with that...
Still,...
I'd like like to know what you people think about communism. ;)
-
Just wanted to make sure I wasn't going overboard.
Anyway, communism?
I don't know much about communism myself; all I've heard about it is biased BS. I'm not specifically pro-communist, but I don't associate it with dictatorial regimes like many people do (actually, real communism can only be achieved through democracy). I find that social-democracy works pretty well for me (though our new Quebec PM Jean Chare$t is throwing it down the drain, unfortunately).

Doesn't work. The bosses are basically replaced by the government, and you better don't critisize the government, or else...

You just keep thinking what you want about us, and I will keep thinking what I want about you.

I'm not sure about the first, the second is true, but the third is true for despotism, not communism. You are probably referring to Soviet Union and China, which were never any more real communist systems than the United States is a real capitalist system today.

That's why a government should include everyone. ;)

There's always some group of people who claim that they are the government. Every country where communism has been applied has a little group who control the people and buy expencive US products and villas, yachts, etc. while their people are very to extremely poor (North-Korea, China, Cuba, etc.).
I really like to see communism work, it sounds good, but the truth is, it's always fucked up by a small group of people.

There is always a little group of people fucking things up for the rest.
Bush/Rumfild/Johon Ashcroft and a couple of other goons managed to turn the U.S. into a dictatorship of some kind. I'll be glad when those idiots are long gone!
-
It's not quite a dictatorship yet, but it's in the beginning stages. Since some time ago, the United States has been slipping on a slope towards corporate fascism, and the election of the Bush administration has led to alarming developments. Fortunately, the tendency has not reached a critical point yet, and can be reversed if enough people are educated about what's going on.
-
America is FAR from a dictatorship...
"...Fortunately, the tendency has not reached a critical point yet, and can be reversed if enough people are educated..."
...and voters keep people like Bush in office instead of liberals. Then America will be the way it was ment to be when it was created: a country with morals and freedoms.

America has alianated itself, invaded countries, squashed the rights and freedoms of its people and has controled the media.
If that isn't a dictatorship, then hitlers time must of been a free democracy.

If bush is gone or not, you guys have got a long way to go to get to a "a moral and free" country.
But if he is gone and the rest of his goons are gone to then at least that is a step in the right direction.
-
Heh. It seems to me you don't understand what a dictatorship is. (Though, I didn't read the rest of the thread, so don't get mad if I missed something.)
Dictionary.com:
1. The office or tenure of a dictator.
2. A state or government under dictatorial rule.
3. Absolute or despotic control or power.
A dictator:
1. An absolute ruler.
Edit: I now read the thread. Indeed, you don't know what a dictatorship is!

Not too bad for the Worlds Leading Super Power.
-
Lets see, they invaded other countries for their own gain.
They squashed the rights and freedoms of the american citizen. See U.S. Patriot Act.
They've implemented stupid boarder crossing rules.
Lets not forget that Cuban Prisson housing so called 'terrorists'
Bush himself has killed more people on death row than any american war. Not counting the 'war on terror.'
He singles out anyone who is different. Relgion/sex/race etc etc......
Nope hes not a dictator and hitler was a saint.
-
Jesus Christ. You don't seem to realize something:
YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THE WORD "DICTATOR" MEANS.
A dictator doesn't mean somebody that kills a lot, or eats babies, or shoots lasers out of his eyes while climbing tall Jap buildings. A dictator is somebody that has complete control of a state--he doesn't have to be a tyrant.
I even posted a DICTIONARY DEFINITION, and you still don't get it! Geeze!
-
And as a Texan, I'd like to point out a lot of those death penalties were approved by the previous governor, and were merely scheduled to be acted upon after Bush's election.

Yeah, but Quirk, "Dictator" has such negative connotations that people just blindly assume that any bad political figure is somehow a "dictator." It is nonsense of course.
W. doesn't need to be a dictator to do the things he does. All he has to do is lie to everyone about his reasons, and his fanatical supporters will do the rest of the work, singling out skeptics as unpatriotic, possibly traitors. Where I live it is especially rough - saying anything bad about Bush here in public can make your life miserable. It is akin to criticizing Jesus.

I'd like to think of America as more of a Corporatocracy. Doing certain things isn't necessary illegal, but the threat of lawsuits has made it to where any corporation can cause you to "cease and desist" your actions if they so choose. And since you can't hope to win against them (the party with the most money in a lawsuit almost always wins) then you have no choice but to bend to their will. Combine that with the fact that politics in the US is really a game played by corporations, and we're really in a fix. Sadly, it will probably only get worse as the future goes on. Eventually there may not even be a "free market" (well free in my definition of the word) but a conglomerate of 7 or 8 megacorporations that control everything that goes on in this country - including the corrupt government that supports them.
