your stereo isnt quite big enough.... My stereo is hooked up to my computer, TV, CD, tape deck, has two amps, two tuners, and I can hook up my guitar to it if i want and is 300 WATTs with 15 speakers. And some funky black lights and strobe lights always helop to make it look more like home. Maybe i will post a couple picks of my dungeon.
Oh, yeah... I have a 4 6-plug power bars connected to one outlet. And all the other outlets in my room have at least one 6-plug power bar. Another thing to help it look more like a dungeon is holding people things locked up hostage. I have a persons sweater locked to big leather straps and chains being held hostage until she became Bob. But she did become Bob and after she found what i had mutilated in the sweater, she didnt take/want it.

Once i did lock someone in my shed because they owed my $400 worth of computer parts. I got them back when he gave up from hunger.
-
hey, let's start a thread where we all post pictures of our computer setup, i know that's superultrageeky, but just this once, i think it's okay to indulge!
-
I'm gonna wait until tomorrow to post some piccies of my setup, I have to add another box and drop some cabling through the ceiling.
It looks a lot like chaos's though... except most of his machines look to be x86 boxen.
Is that machine on the far left an old Amiga?
-
what, that , nah, its the pentium 60 i wish it to be an amiga, and i think i am going to add a few more picts of oddness and the other side of my room, like the harddrives that don't fit in my case and the 32 port hub i got for free
edit:
by the way, what so you guys think i should do in this situation. i have a powerbook 1400 it has a g3 233mhz processor, i could sell it on ebay and buy a dec alpha, or i could spend 50 bucks for an ethernet connection

is what i get when i go to parts 2 and 3...
Why not host them for free on www.boomspeed.com? (http://www.boomspeed.com?) they're a bit slow, but they're free and they work... they're only for auction pix though, and personal webpages, so it's a bit hairy using them to post pictures on boards, but hey, life's short...
I vote, get the Aplha... how much would you sell the powerbook for?
-
damn, i killed my bandwidth on them in the first 2 hours i used it damn. o well, it should be up in the hour, and i think i can 250+ four the power book, which i think is enough to get the alpha off of ebay
-
i have a laptop i want to sell, it's a pentium 3 850, and my girlfriend is studying, so she wants to have a machine to do her stuff on. I want to get rid of the beast, but i wasn't going to rush to buy a desktop machine for a couple of months and i was thinking maybe i should get an Apple laptop in the meantime... I think i might just keep the laptop till i've bought the new machine actually, as she'd want it to have .doc compatible software, web browsers and the whole shebang, and i don't have any Mac software... ramble ramble...
-
ahh. i hear you say .doc files, try openoffice. i find it better at displaying .doc files better then ms office. and it runs on mac, windows , solaris, and linux. that is what i used on the thinkpad in school. and how much where you thinking of selling it for?
-
I should decorate mine...
All I have now at my comp is a book about linux a a floppy of os/2 on my comp. I should put all my games over there and take a pic(And just to annoy you, i'll put in a book my dad got me about, yes, Visual Basic!!!!!!!!)
I'll put in all my books about anything of comp, the box for my new speakers, all my cds, Oh and btw, my room is very small so I'll on take a pic of where the comp itself is, not the monitor and the speakers. I'll put in my old speakers, my midi keyboard, my headphones. My CDR... And of course, ALL my games(which isn't alot)
-
hmmm, you were asking as to how much the power book would cost, i would have to sell it off ebay parents wouldn't trust someone i met in a forum. but if you wanted to buy it, i could give you info and practicly hand it to you off of ebay. /*winning it, not price wise,*/ tell me more if your interested, if you are i will tell you more about the thing. just whatever sounds good
-
well the laptop i have was AUS$3400 just over a year ago, it's a P3 850Mhz 128Mb RAM onboard 16Mb video card, 8xDVD ROM, 56k V90 modem 10/100 network card, 12Gb hard drive, and WindowsME (guk!) and i thought about

As long as we're doing photos of our setups, mine is on the home page of the "parent company" website:
http://www.thePublicInternet.org (http://www.thePublicInternet.org)
The main machine I work on, of course, would be the Cube on the left.
-
Strange... the old version of Konqueror (2.2.2) does not like that image (comingsoon.jpg). Mozilla loaded it just fine. Maybe it's me?
-
hey webmaster, not a bad setup.
