Title: M$ Crappy Services (Like there aren't enough)
Post by: theangelofdeath69 on 22 June 2002, 11:31
Hey

Has anyone else noticed the "unusually" large amount of downtime for the .NET services?

Goes to show they should have stuck with Unix and Perl for their services like it used to be.

Hehehe

Catcha later people...   (http://tongue.gif)

No I haven't, but I have noticed that SuSE's online update utility is broken and none of the servers will connect.  I also noticed that whenever I need help with Linux the only support is in chat rooms and all the dumbasses there either give you bum advice for their personal amusement or tell you angrily to "RTFM."

XP LUser, perhaps you could explain how I'm updating SuSe using Yast Online Update at the moment then?
As for the help you get on Linux forums, I've found that the Linux community is very eager to help out n00bs as myself whenever it's possible.

Try to remember that none of the people you can address on a forum owes you anything, they don't HAVE to help you out, only if they feel like it and if they have an answer to your problem.

Could it be that your online behaviour is why people aren't that inclined to offer you help????

No he took the "A+ MS certified course".  :D

Anyone got any dirt on that course, anyone ever heard of it? Regardless of how much dirt you could kick up to make it feel disgusting to take it, it's still an MS world and it's still useful to get you hired by a corporation because most still use clunky wind0ze.

I will admit, msn.com and msn.ca fucking rock! Oxymoron eh? I've read soooo many good articles there! Sure they link to them and probably don't write any themselves, they point out cool stuff everyday and that's great!
