I want to be able to access my computer at work from my computer at home.  How do I do this?

what OS, and what kind of access. Just copying files? or complete control over it? Graphics or none?

For complete control you can try programs such as
VNC (http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/). They have clients and servers for multiple platforms.

the fact that five people have even replied to this complete lack of information and tried to HELP even against all odds says something about our community.
