The main problem here is that most people know this operating system from work.
And most people want the stuff they use (and trained for) at work to use at home too.
That's why I think Apple should direct its marketing stategy on businesses, less on consumers.

Here's hoping the borderline illegal and monopolistic domination of Microsoft comes to an end in the next decade. Apple appears poised, finally, again, ready to take over the consumer world.
I personally believe that Apple having a monopoly would be a lot worse than Microsoft. All companies are ultimately driven by greed and one company in control of everything (regardless of who it is) is not good.
Why do I think Apple having a monopoly would be worse than Microsoft?
Microsoft at the moment only have limited control over the hardware industry, if Apple had a monopoly they would own both the hardware and the software
