Title: Behold My Return
Post by: Kintaro on 27 February 2005, 18:55
Hello residents of the Microsuck Forums,

It has been a great lenth of time since my last discharge of impulsive spiteful action onto the members of the forum (being God I find it part of my duty to be spiteful, as documented in various verses of The Bible (https://kintarolabs.sytes.net:10000/man/)). I have come back to see how things are going and also because it is 4:48AM and I start school at 8:15AM which will make my day just wonderful.

No, I am not doing cocain, thanks for asking.

Actually I dont abuse any substances anymore. Woah: Did Kintaro just say he is not abusing substances anymore? Yes, Damn fucking right I said it. But I bet you couldn't give up cigarettes if your life depended on it (the irony is that it does)? Nope, I could not be fucked quitting cigarettes.

So has anybody here remember who I am, or am I nobody at all. Parhaps I have never been to this forum and just made a complete cock out of myself. I hope I have not made a complete cock out of myself as it would be rather annoying indeed.

Hows the weather? The weather is fucking strange.

What? I do not know.

Please try and be nice to your fellow humans, uhm. Please try to be nice to your fellow beings.

Oh Refalm, uhm... Calum... and others im a vegetarian now as well glad I could join you. I am not sure if I was moved by the large breasts on Sarah's vegetarian chest at school or just some general compassion and my finding of spirituality in buddism, the tao, confusism.

Anyway if you have looked at the grammer you can probably tell my brain is a little unscrewed at the moment, I might have to go screw those neural links back up with the favored stimulant of many: nicotine.

Oh and...

Hello!

Welcome back X11, we missed you.

And I'm glad you decided to stop eating dead animal corpses, wrapped for mass consuming :)

Yea, I also noticed they seemed to be a link in red meats, especially beef and causing me to have scitzophrenic episodes.

That and a couple of weeks back I for the first time took it upon myself to cook a steak and the thing raw was just fucking disgusting, and exactly that: dead.

Oh and Sarah's Boobs. The One Meat I Could Nibble On.

Yes, but it also prevents you from writing sentances with more then four words. It seems to effectively prevent your ability to use capital letters. Oh and more so, it turns you into an arsehole that patronises others for their choises.

Salmon Sucks More...
Note: I have not eaten fish from the ocean because of Overfishing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overfishing) for far longer then I have began to support Animal Rights. Everyone eating fish is commiting wu-wei as far as I am concerned.

Welcome back X11!

About the whole vegetarian thing, I respect your decision not to eat meat but I suppose we're all animals and lot's of animals eat other animals so I don't have a problem with eating meat. I eat fish because it's healthy and I mostly eat farmed salmon and mussels.

And as far as all the cruelty to animals goes it depends on how you kill the animal and what level of life they are. Mussels, don't have brains, so it's not cruel to cook them alive, and if you shoot a cow in the head when it's not expecting it, it's dead before it even knows it.

I have mixed feelings about vegetarianism. On one hand, animals eat animals, so I don't know if we have any moral obligation towards other species. On the other hand, well, animals are killed cruelly, in appalling conditions, and they waste a lot of ressources (deforestation of the Amazonian forest, for example).

Besides, too much meat isn't healthy. And whether meat tastes good depends on one's definition of 'meat'. If you're going to eat McDo hamburgers that hardly taste anything without a shitload of condiments, might as well fry a slab of tofu in a bucked of sunflower oil.

Some of my friends were talking last night about how it's not so much meat that's bad, it's the way they're slaughtered in so-called civilized nations.  For example, if you have a bunch of chickens going down a conveyor belt getting their heads cut off, they're going to sense fear, and start releasing hormones and all kinds of stuff into their bloodstream, which you, in turn eat.

And that might explain why we have so many mental illnesses nowadays.  I'm not a vegetarian, and never will be, but I think a quick read of Fast Food Nation (http://www.mcspotlight.org/media/books/schlosser.html) will at least make you more reluctant to stop at McDonalds when hungry.

I never go to McDonalds. I hate junk food.

The only place where I eat hamburgers is at Dic & Anns (which are awesome), and I have no idea about their market, if any, outside of QC.

Kintaro, I remember that time you were high and came here, and posted like 25 identical threads under a half hour. :D

Welcome back, X11.

Why the hell do I have to accept a bogus security certificate to read your forum?
Title: Re: Behold My Return
Post by: Kintaro on 28 February 2005, 08:27
Bogus?

It's just not certified with a CA, the forum is still perfectly secure (I hope), I only allow secure connections to the server except for bittorrent, and soulseek. I have came to know various employees at Internet Service Providers in Australia, specifically Melbourne that sniff traffic for plain fun.

The forum has some various other reasons that many will not understand unless they hang about for some time. These are the "other reasons" that the forum is on a AES 256 SSL connection. I plan on starting a secure mail system as well in future with usermin that will allow it to be used by users with a Unix account for secure communications.

Moveing from there, I will eventually migrate the entire /var and /home filesystems to a AES 256 (or 512) bit Linux Cryptoloop filesystem. This will ensure that even more privacy of data. Privacy is becomeing important with the status of the Australian Government and I do not like where civil liberties could be heading in this country.

I hope that answers your question.

For your site to be trusted by clients, you need to have your certificate signed by a trusted agency that operates as a Certificate Authority. To have the certificate signed by a Certificate Authority, create a certificate-signing request (CSR) and send it to the authority with some documentation. This costs anywhere from $250 to $1,000 per year.

There is a good reason it is not signed, I cannot afford those fee's at the current moment in time.
