If a thread is violating the rules, tell a mod, in private, about it.
Don't tell a mod to bin a thread, ask them to look at it and decide.
For a mod it's annoying as piss to see a thread cluttered up with a thousand posts saying "bin" or "lock this" Let the mods make up their own damn minds!
I had to get that off my chest, the frustration came from elsewhere, but applies here.

We also have something called "Report post".
Looks like this (http://www.microsuck.com/forums/images/buttons/report.gif)
Next time y'all see somethin', click on it ;)

One vote for bin. :D

One vote for asspiss...err, bin. Yeah, that's it. :)
-
i agree with skyman on this ocassion.
not that i give a toss, i'm not a moderator, but even for users it's a waste of space to see posts containing nothing except "bin this".
-
Just for the record, I also agree with skyman, just in case anyone coulndn't tell my previous post was a joke.
Let's bin all "1 vote for bin" posts.

Does telling a bad joke twice make it any funnier?
-
How about we just ban "1 vote for bin" post's posters.
-
1 bin for vote

Isn't this thread just an example of backseat modding anyways? If it was an issue, a mod or admin would have made the thread. Unless you are a mod, in which case I'll just shut the fuck up.

disappointment
n 1: a feeling of dissatisfaction that results when your expectations are not realized; "his hopes were so high he was doomed to disappointment" [syn: letdown] 2: an act (or failure to act) that disappoints someone [syn: dashing hopes]

Would it make you feel better if I said that he took the words out of my mouth? Not that he did, but just for argument's sake...
-
It loses its strength and becomes a parody of itself if he isn't a mod.
"Dont backseat mod, even though that is what I am doing now."
Seems silly to me.

Except I'm a former mod, and now no longer supject to the evil Nation Socialist mod-rules.
See the VIP under my name?

You never complained to me about it once.
The only two members who actually gave good suggestions aren't moderators (one is actually a "normal" member).

OK, for the last time. I want to make this clear, so I am copying this from the Moderator boards. Here are the guidelines by which I am abiding:
Here's the basic rule which I will begin enforcing soon. Do not bin or delete any posts unless they are spam (attempts to sell products, get rich quick schemes, whatever) or floods (GNAA-type posts, garbage text, etc). Nothing is to be deleted except 'noise.' If you don't like it, go start your own forum; there's plenty of free open-source blog and forum software out there to choose from.
Spam = Free iPod BS, penis enlargement, site plugs, etc etc.
Flooding = Random text posted, or GNAA type stuff.
The best analogy I can give you is a radio one. If I turn to a country station it may well be garbage to me, but it's still music, and it's still much different than the noise or static I'd hear in between stations. Basically, noise gets binned; anything in between stays, regardless of how much it might suck (in your eyes).
Outright hate speech might also be something to bin. Illegal activities should be binned too, just for site safety.
Now, is there ANYTHING in those rules that could conceivably warrant the binning of Kintaro's post about Mr.X?
-
Sometimes I really like you guys, most other times I wanna kill you all.
Guess where i'm at now?

Laukev7,
I'd say a bitch thread containg nothing but pointless hateful personal abuse towards another member belongs in this category.
The Dead Thread Zone
If a thread appears to be going nowhere, or is intentionally pointless, it will end up here.
Anyway, what's with the U turn? you always used to bin bitch threads.
-
Can someone bin this already?
And next time, post this kind of bullshit in the private section.
-
Oh, alright.
