any one used iPod Linux yet? wow its great. linux now runs on ipod, linux, gba, ds and loads of others. all done by people as a hobby. look at windows. xp for phones, hardware made round the os, pda's, hardware based around needs of the os. linux will run on ALMOST anything, regardless of hardware.

I got a buddy with iPod Linux on his 3G. It's pretty neat, Podzilla is faster than the native software, but mp3/ogg playback is jerky.
Potential, but not there yet.

I was into ipodLinux alot over the christmas. That was when I started to learn C, and I made a scrollbar for podzilla _long_ before the one that's in it now was implemented. :)
I also did the original of this (http://www.ipodlinux.org/Building_Podzilla) documentation, but I see it was merged (at long last) and I lost my... name. :(
Then, I broke my iPod. Fried a chip on the mobo by plugging in a stripped charger randomly (ACCIDENTAL, btw).
EDIT: Anyone interested in a third generation iPod case? Also have the broken mobo (it works fine except for charging. Plug it into the mains and it works perfect.), and the battery. Sold the 10GB HDD and smashed the screen.

How clever!

Well that was after I ACCIDENTALY ripped the ribbon cable. And there was a hammer sitting on my desk, I could not resist.
Why the hell was there a hammer on my desk!?
