Post by: Calum on 26 July 2005, 23:29: are you kidding? the police now shoot people in the head for preference. the guy was 100% innocent of everything except for wearing a jacket. until this weekend i honestly thought we had one of the best police forces in the world, now i know they will shoot innocent victims, and what's more, unlike with "terrorists", where the government vows to hunt down those who kill innocents, instead, when the police kill innocents, everybody turns the other way.

It is disgusting. as an innocent man, who often takes the london underground, i am concerned that this is not only allowed to happen, but that nothing is being done about it, to the extent that scotland yard have issued a statement saying that their policy will not change, and that more innocents may have to be shot in the head.

Strictly speaking, he was guilty of hopping over the subway turnstyle without paying fare.

i saw the guy on TV the other night who used to be head of the israeli police, and he said shooting somebody in the head was less smart than shooting them in the chest, because the head is smaller, and because you are not going to set off a chest mounted bomb unless you hit the detonator, which is very small.

so even the israli police appear to have a chest first policy, but our police went from a limbs first policy last week directly to a shot in the head policy this week, and they have announced that they will continue this policy for as long as they feel like it.

you are a real moron if you honestly think that a government organisation that shoots people in the head, then lies about it, tries to delay an investigation and even when the truth does come out they then claim (somehow) that they did nothing wrong.

and on top of that concerned letter writers write to newspapers saying the police acted in good faith etc. They would be whistling a different tune i think if it were their innocent son that had been murdered by these scum.

Post by: Calum on 19 August 2005, 14:07: they're not considering pressing charges i don't think, from what i have heard, the very notion seems absurd to most. it's absolutely disgusting. at least the Brazilian government is getting involved, i wonder if the whole thing would have been a better cover up if the guy had been british, since the british government are the ones who passed the laws that allow the police to ride roughshod over our civil liberties in the first place.
