Title: New: video iPod, and video...iMac?
Post by: WMD on 12 October 2005, 21:53
http://www.apple.com/ipod

The new iPod is thinner, 30/60GB for $299/$399, and plays MPEG4 video.  The new iMac has a built-in iSight camera, and a remote which allows for a few DVR-like functions.  Not to mention they inproved the computer itself a bit (100MHz more CPU, new video card, DDR2 RAM).

Awesome day.  Can't wait for the webcast to come out.

EDIT: Also, it seems that Apple has put the eMac back into the education store ONLY.  Which kinda sucks because the eMac is a great budget machine.

I just wish the new video store had more selections. I'd really love to be able to get episodes of Enterprise and Stargate.

I wonder, in terms of it's mp3 playback ability (which you know it must have) will the vid iPod have some sort of fancy-ass visualazation system if you just want to play your Milli Vanilli mp3s?
