This dude built an ATARI 800 laptop!  And he's got photos and a story of how he did it.  He's got alot of other very cool hardware hacks there too.

You know those Sony batteries he uses for a few of his gadgets cost quite a bit, and they don't last too long either, and they take forever to charge
