Title: What the f*** is a trace file?
Post by: edisav on 23 February 2003, 22:06
I just noticed that a file ".plugin140_01.trace" was added to my profile directory in my fuckdows 2000 box. I think this happend right after I visited the money section of msn.com.

The website that I'm trying to access doesn't allow me to use the browsers from mu Linux box, so I have to use fuckdows and IE Exploder.

Anyway, what the hell is a trace file and what's the most efficient way to ge rid of that?

Thanks folks!

I was reading that it's a temp file for java and is something like a dump file. Can anyone confirm that?

.TRACE  Telcordia Software Visualization and Analysis Toolsuite (testing software)
          ECXpert Debugging File
          WebSTAR Mail Server Error File
          Zope 3 Strace Log
          TcpDump Output File

That help any?

BTW, try google or http://filext.com (http://filext.com) for any file extension needs.  (http://tongue.gif)
