Is someone spamming/advertising about microsuck cause we seem to be quite popular...
-
Defanantly wasn't me. 52 guests seems to be quite excessive. I've seen 1 or 2 guests before but 52 is just...
-
Most of them are spiders (http://www.microsuck.com/forums/online.php?), most of them are Yahoo! spiders...
-
ah, nearly all of them are.
-
Bill Gates Spider.
So how closely do you think the MSES is being watched?
-
one time i saw about 3 Bill Gates spiders, their IPs had MSN in them

The 'Bill Gates Spider' is the spider from MSN Search, it is no more or less sinister than those from Yahoo! or Google.
The name, Bill Gates Spider, was Refalm's idea of a joke.

why not "kick" and "ban" them by ip ??

I was gonna suggest that but then it'd be harder for MSN-search-users (who will likely be Windows/MS-users) to find us.
-
There's a lot of stuff about this website in MSN Search. I see this as a positive thing.
On top of that, Yahoo! is far more aggresively in crawling this site.
-
what are spiders ? ... never heard of them before
-
i think spiders are part of a search engine, i dont know if you can see it by most of the yahoo spiders try to reply to threads and send out PMs
-
spiders are scripts that go to the main page of a listed website and follow all links within the domain to "map" the site and to find keywords to add to the database for that site.
-
Why the fuck are the spiders trying to post? I thought they were written better than that....

Possibly they are just following the link for "go advanced". Or is it script rather than a link?

Since when is that a bad thing?

I already answered this over Y!IM to you when you asked me:

[snip]
(20:43:12) piratePenguin: [snip] because they'll hear all the bad things we have to say about MS
(20:43:24) piratePenguin: same reason IE shouldnt be banned

why the heck do they use
"insert company name here" spider ?
-
I already answered this over Y!IM to you when you asked me:
Personally, we should just block IE to keep morons away, that would eliminate 90% of the problems of morons in the first place. Who gives a crap about people hearing what we have to say, its about the fact were right, not popular.
-
i guess
you need to be at just an average stupidity to
read all about Microsoft's shit and then stick w/ it
:)
but in my case i have no choice :(
parents you know

Perhaps to let people reading traffic logs know that its a spider from "insert company name here"? You know, it's far less sinister than disguising the fact that it's a spider.

I hate that excuse, beat your perants up. You don't hear mine complaining.
-
It's a weak excuse. You have plenty of choice, at home, to use whatever you want. Stop being a bitch and stop using windows already.
-
yeah your right
i'll start with a vritual machine first :)
any suggestion wich distro should i choose :)
i know there is this Linux/Gnu thing but i wonder what are the + and - of them?
-
http://www.linux.org has a huge list of them, including information. Better still there is probably a bulgarian language translation of the site.
