I apologize if anyone got offended by my comments. I started out with a little dark humor, and some got very angry. I have re-read the forum rules and Im going to do the best I can to follow those rules. Ive felt ive been put on the defensive since Ive joined this forum. I got carried away after Kintaro pushed my buttons. It happens.
I apologize to Htexmex, oritheous, Refalm and a couple of others who havent been dicks to me, or called me a retard or moron. Maybe they have but I probably deserved it. Im going to stick to the issues from now on.
-
Apologies accepted.
-
Thank You.
-
Hey at least you man'ed up to apologize :) (unlike some people that I won't name)
-
Thats what men do. They swallow their pride and apologized when they have done something innapropiate. Thanks
-
The sad thing is kintaro used to be a decent member, I hope he's either fucked off for good or he returns to his former self - preferably the latter.

Yeah ... I hope so too ... he has a 'unique' view on things, it'd be sad to see him go.
Oh ... and apologies accepted  ... it's not easy to apologize, at least not for me. (cuz I'm convinced that I'm always right)

[OFFTOPIC]of topic but dam, you already have to green rep boxes!. most members that have been here for years are just getting there 2nd green box[/OFFTOPIC]

Honestly I dont know what Kintaro was like, before. I guess something happened.

[OFFTOPIC]Say, what are those rep boxes about anyway ? I checked the FAQ, but they weren't in there [/OFFTOPIC]

[offtopic]People can rate your posts by clicking the "Add to X's Reputation" button on their post:
The more green boxes you have the better you've been rated by more people.
Check out the front-page of your User CP (http://www.microsuck.com/forums/usercp.php?) to read the comments people have made, and see the posts you got rated on (Moderators can also see who it was that rated them, but normal users can't.).[/offtopic]

[offtopic]Members who were here before the new rating system was introduced have blue squares and those who are very unpopular have red squares. You'll notice that if you place the mouse cursor over the square a phrase will pop-up like "x has made a multi kill" or "x is a MSCE" the former is good and the latter is bad.[/offtopic]
-
[OFFTOPIC] Ok, thanks  ... that's what I needed to know [/OFFTOPIC]

IIRC blue on a post also means that the member has opted out of the reputation system. I recall a couple members who have been active after the conversion to VB, but still were blue. I can't remember names, though...
-
See in the User CP frontpage where you can see the latest reputation received? How do you get a blue square for something? I can see how you get green (someone approved the post) and red (someone disapproved the post). What about blue (Lead Head has told me it means neutral)? How do you get/give blue/neutral rep? It's not in the dialog I use to give rep to people...
-
Originally Refalm set things up so everyone had neutral rep when they joined but for some reason he changed it to positive, because of this all the really old members have blue squares. I personally disagree with this so whenever an old member returns (providing they were at least half decent) I always positive rep them.
Another reason for having a blue square might be that someone without much rating power has negitive repped them after they were made positive. Rating power depends on your status and your current reputation mods probably have the highest power and trolls have none.
A black square means someone has disabled their reputation - I believe onlyn the mods and VIPs have this option.
-
Hmmm, I want a blue square. :P
-
It's a ridiculous system like postcounts and regdates. Does nothing for the general well being of the community, except put an emphasis on epenis nonsense.
-

And V.I.P. status.
-
Yep. I don't what VIP does aside from give me access to the friends forum. Perhaps that's a perk from being a moderator for a time.
-
What the f*ck is 'epenis'?
Sounds like an immature made up word .
-
It is a well-known phenomenon that impotent men buy Corvettes. Since the true penis can no longer function as a private, inner status symbol, the poor old guy gets himself a functioning public status symbol. It's kinda like beating up homosexuals to prove how straight you are, when you are really a closeted queer.
On the internet, I can't wave my cock around and show you how big it is, and therefore how awesome I am. Well, actually, I can, but you wouldn't see it. So I have to have post counts, and green lights, and Linux cred, and a meaningful username that is neither cliche nor obscure, and all that other stuff - public symbols of my awesomeness. When you see stuff like that, you KNOW I am badass.
Yeah, epenis is a made up word. But I think it fits well.
-
it's probably e-penis ... as in e-penisenvy ... yeah it's made up :D
=========================================================8
= e-penis (I hope it doesn't count as pr0n)
-
All words are made up.
If enough people used the term "epenis", it'd get into the dictionaries (at least that's true with other words/terms, according to some guy on the radio (then again, the radio (and shows) is (are) like 50 years old, so maybe things have changed since 1955/whenever. Yea, I'm just being stupid. Ignore this bracket.).
